When I was a little girl, I would go to my grandmother's house and I would try to remember to bring the movie from home so my cousin and I could watch it. It was NOT a piecemeal of the series to create a movie. The movie introduced the characters or could be better described as the PILOT for the series. I am praying that NBC will release the series (with the movie included) as a DVD set. First off, this is by far one of the best series cancelled way too soon. I just wish that they would put out a DVD of the entire series including the movie. I just fell in love with this series growing up and when it went off the air, I was devasted! It's one of the few shows that I still think about and want to see again. Read More Rating: - The series and the movie were not one and the same! Someone stated that the series was just the movie cut up with commercials placed throughout. That is simply not true. The move was a jumpstart for the series. It showed how the girls ended up in the mansion and the series was about their lives there. I wish this was out on dvd. I'd purchase the whole series.
