I really enjoyed how each episode built up to the next. This series is a must see for all historians and/or American's. It's a great reminder of how we should appreciate what our forefathers have done for us. Rating: - Excellent!!! As an American History teacher, I found this series highly interesting, well made and concise but with enough details to keep one engrossed. I am using it to supplement my teaching by showing it in parts to the students and then having discussions on what they saw. I totally recommend it to anyone interested in the myriad and gifted characters that played at part in our Country's road toward Independence. Rating: - Excellent I was blown away by the edutainment-per-dollar value of this DVD set. I mean, c'mon, it was like $2 per disc! While all of the minor criticisms in other customer reviews are true (mediocre DVD quality; repetitive use of footage, etc.) these seem to me very minor quibbles.
