Kitchen & Housewares - BlenderBottle 28-Ounce with BlenderBall, Blue
|
Rating: -
This thing is great - and easy to pack so you don't have to take up room in your luggage with a hand mixer - just put the protein powder in ziploc baggies and store in the blender bottle for packing. When you get to your destination, all you have to do is unpack, grab your favorite beverage and a ziploc baggie and you are set - instant protein shake!
Blends most protein powders well, though I have used some that have clumped a tiny bit...:)

Just as advertised. I was surprised at how well it works - really blends all the powder without terribly much effort (shaking). Good alternative to a blender for an office environment. Easy to clean. Definitely worth it.

I'm pretty sure that if you're looking at this item that you're starting to go to the gym and are wanting to take supplement shakes like I did.
As was recommended in another review, I prefer to add the liquid (whether it be soy milk, water, or regular milk) first, then add your supplement powder to the bottle. This helps to reduce clumping.
I used to be able to make clump-free drinks, but alas now I have tiny clumps, not that it really bothers me. I probably fill the bottle up way too much, not allowing enough air for the whisk to make use of.
Only drawback are that fruit can get stuck in the whisk-ball and it leaks. But wait! Don't go away yet. It only leaks on me when I use it as a plain water bottle. I'm guessing water's viscosity is too low allowing it to seep out. Never any problems with my protein shakes.
My favorite recipe:
Fill halfway with Soy Milk
1 handful of frozen blueberries
2 large scoops of greek yogurt (I buy it in the larger containers.)
1 scoop chocolate whey protein
1 scoop double chocolate casein protein
Shake
Chug-a-lug!

I have given the Blender Bottle in many forms to my clients and friends as a gift. I also own three at home. I use the Blender Bottle in many ways, from protein shakes, to powder drink mixes, to salad dressing.
Clean up is as simple as dropping the bottle and the ball in the dishwasher.
The genius of the Blender Bottle is in its simplicity!

Doesn't leak
cap is very well sealed and easy to open
mixes better than mesh (its a ball made of wire)
great for to mix in protein and other supplements
worth 5x what you pay
