Books - The Secret Language of Relationships: Your Complete Personology Guide to Any Relationship with Anyone
|
Rating: -
This book is about all kinds of relationships. It's a good conversation starter, as well as interesting to read on your own.

I had read The Secret Language of Birthdays by this author and loved how dead on it was. I was so excited to get this book, but skeptical once I read the reviews. It's fun to pick out some qualities and try to fit them into your life and relationships, but the book gives alot of the same information as the other titles in the series. Whatever you do, take it lightheartedly, don't base your life decisions on what's written on the pages. It's fun to look over with friends at a party.

Been eyeing this book for a LONG time and I finally got it. No regrets. Brilliant info and creepy that it's sooo right on.

The book is very informative. Very detailed and easy to follow. It is well laid out and easy to read.

I've been "religiously" using this book as a reference ever since I stumbled upon it almost two years ago. Family, co-workers, women who I find attractive, friends, even enemies (if you think you have none, you may be kidding yourself LOL). I've looked them all up. Results? Spooky! Astonishing! Amazing!
I'm not sure why certain people complain. Sure the book is general. A more specific study would be too heavy to hold, and would take more time than the octogenarian author has left! Nothing new? Ha! You want something new? Read Bartholomew and the Oobleck by Dr. Seuss! Then there's the comment that the included relationship studies are negative. That's not true. Each relationship study contains a vignette or two as well examples of both positive and negative features and potentials. Perhaps the nay-sayers tend to focus upon the negative. On the other hand... negative relationships tend to be the easiest to understand and write about. Those that are positive, and sublime tend to be unique; and they may be succinctly descried only by inspired poetry, if at all. It's similar to the way that it's easy to smear paint around into an interestingly repulsive Oobleck-like image, but much more difficult to create a beautiful masterpiece.
I did notice that while some of the relationship studies are totally spot-on and amazingly so, others seem rather bland or dry, which I attribute to the fact that they don't touch on things that appeal to me or that I understand. If I was a more perfectly-rounded human being, I suspect that I would empathize with those as well.
This is a great book that you may use to create beautiful relationships by using the knowledge it brings you. Pick up a copy today! (Buy a used copy, here at Amazon, if you're a tightwad like me!) Greets to Ms. Julie, who I hope will find this book as useful as I have.
