Books - The Only Astrology Book You'll Ever Need, New Edition

I just bought this book, so can't attest to the content itself just yet, but I am quite angry to find that there is nothing on the book or CD indicating it's only compatible with certain platforms. Unfortunately, the bookseller couldn't find anything online (nor could I) about the CD and I foolishly believed him when he said, "It must be compatible with everything, then." Duh--I know better. Of course, I got it home and slapped it in my Mac and found nothing but a useless .exe file. Boo. If I could only remember the title of the larger, more expensive book/CD I saw elsewhere--which specifically offered versions for Mac OR PC--I'd be returning this in a heartbeat. Hopefully, once I digest the book portion, I won't be so upset about the lack of attention they gave to the CD.

I am proud owner of this book, this is by far one of the best books on astrology, the book is a bible to astrology, this book is a must for any astrologist worth his or her salt.

This is a terrific astrology book. I highly recommend it. I'm very happy with all the information, charts and tables that it contains.

You say the word `astrology' and you get all kinds of skeptics, scoffing and spewed out phrases like, "that's hogwash." Or the like, and yet at the same time we're all still curious about what everyone's sign is. I'm not sure how the wreckage got started that the only focus that comes to people when astrology is concerned is what is your sign? Do we think it's because this will base whether or not we'll get along and I'll understand you completely now? You ask someone their sign, they say, "Gemini", and you respond with, "Really, you don't seem like a Gemini." That's because the majority of people didn't pick up this book and they should have. There is no way at all to pinpoint to the tee what someone is like by knowing their sign, but with this book you're off to a better start at delving deeper into their make up than with just knowing their sun sign. The basics say oh a "Sagittarius and a Pisces" is a bad match, yet you know a Sagittarius and Pisces that have been in a committed long term relationship for fifteen years. This book is a step in the right direction to go further and find out what these two have that is connecting them more than just another fire sign. It brings astrology into more of a science and not the hocus pocus fictionalized horoscopes we read for fun or to give us some kind of false hope to what our day or week will be like. This is a great, fun reference book to really going further into understanding someone's basic nature beyond the generic sun sign. I gave it four stars instead of five, and the reason is as it is yes the most informational astrological book I've ever seen out there, and being the second edition, I still think there is a little more that I'd like to see added into it, such as the day you were born, the year, involve the Chinese eastern science, basic numerology, in depth compatibility charts, perhaps we'll get to see that in a third edition. For now, this is pretty much the only astrology book you'll ever need in comparison to the others out there.

This is a very good book as far as helping one understand astrology. However, I have found throughout my experiences and studying other books including Llewellyn's Moon Sign and Sun Sign books, not to mention the classic Llewellyn's A to Z Horoscope and Delineator, and the powerful psychologically impacting books of Dane Rudhyar and those of Jan Spiller, James Braha, and David Frawley, that astrology is one of nature's forces that does effect a person's life. However, that effect is either weak or fraught with complications and contradictions if used only by itself. It is my opinion that one must also understand and work with the Kabbalah and the Tree of Life in order to tap the powerful forces of the universe that actually lay behind both Astrology and Kabbalah. By doing this, one can then use these forces to shape and direct one's life.
At the end of the summer of 2005, I began working with a book called "Kabbalistic Cycles and the Mastery of Life" by Dr. Joseph Lisiewski. One calculates a Kabbalistic chart based on one's sunrise and sunset and uses the chart to direct their lives. Calculations can either be performed by hand or by using the Kabbalistic Calculator at the author's website which is 8thmatrixpress.
This book has helped my life tremendously from relationships, financial matters, as well as spiritual matters. It an intensely PRACTICAL book and is much, much easier to use than aspect interpretation or trying to get a solid read on aspect-planetary house placements. But I mean by this that it applies the theory behind Astrology and Kabbalah in a new way to help a person in the most important affairs of their life. It is well worth the time to study it!
