Dear Readers and Fellow Reviewers,
I realize that astrology or any other so-called metaphysical topic is a controversial and sometimes uncomfy subject for most(and I'm not exception to that). I bought this book years ago and found it interesting, but the longer I've had it and the more people I've looked up (dozens,if not a hundred), the more I corroborate its accuracy. I know a decent amount about astrology, but even folks who know nothing about astrology or even outright aren't interested or are skeptical, have to admit uncanny accuracy to their own personalities. I've read other profiles to see if they sounded like me, and they really don't. It is amazing how in-depth it is, as sun-sign astrology tends to be more general, but still relevant imho. I've noticed that people who don't know much about astrology (how individualized it is, for example) and don't realize how detailed and specific it is(signs in houses, sun, moon, rising signs, cusps, transits, clusters of things, aspects), they all combine to make a unique personal "fingerprint" of a person. The most skeptical people I've met over the years are those who know little to nothing about astrology.
I think that trying to find things wrong with something is also a 'self-fulfilling propechy', so even if something is true and is staring you in the face, whether it be the descriptions in the book or anything else in life, then sure...you won't see it. I grew up in an atheistic household and I was reluctant to delve into any of these things, but it's books like these that make me glad that I did.
That's why I find this book particularly exciting...it is easily understandable and accessible to anyone. Furthermore it is extremely helpful in assisting with interactions which may otherwise prove mysterious or confusing. It gives tips on how to make the most out of each relationship.
Enjoy folks and forgive the rant :)

I'm by nature very skeptical and don't believe in the pseudoscience of astrology, but a recommendation and reviews on this site persuaded to me buy this book, if only for the entertainment value. I thought it might be a fun book to share with others as we looked up our birthdays.
It has been completely "off" for every person I've looked up. I'm described as very confrontational, for example, while if any trait describes me, it's that I can't bear to confront people, at least in real life. I'm a complete wimp in that way. I was also said to be adventure-seeking and that's the opposite of my personality type, too. I've had better 'readings' in cheap astrology books, which at least try to cheat things by pronouncing banal truisms like I'm "an independent thinker who doesn't always agree with 'the experts.'"
Every family member I checked was just totally off and I can't believe the reviews of people who said the book was sooooo accurate.
Consider that Hitler, Daniel Day-Lewis, Jessica Lange, Ryan O'Neill, and Tito Puente all share the same birthdate and supposed personality and then consider how accurate a book like this can be. I agree it might be fun as a way to break the ice at a party, except the personality profiles are dull and boring.

I bought this book as a gift and the recipient loved it. She is not really a book-lover, but she thought this book was fascinating. I gave it to her on Christmas day and she looked at it all weekend, looking up everyones birthday and sharing it with the rest of us. She called me up and told me that she reads it all of the time. Out of the 4 gifts that I gave her, this was not the most expensive, but it seems to be the one that she liked the best.

When I read my date, I about fell out of my chair. I'm not one to dwell into the astral, mystic realm... or give it much more than an entertaining glance from time to time. THIS BOOK FREAKED ME OUT MAN!!!!!! I felt as if this guy had lived with me my entire life. Same went for everyone in the room. I mean we have all read horoscopes that reflect some degree of accuracy, but nothing like this. Very concise, but extremely accurate. With every sentence my jaw dropped further. This book has really made me reevaluate the validity of the whole supernatural "thang". You gotta get it!

After looking at other similar books, and being severely dissapointed after the astonishment this book caused, I bought this book, and continue to use it quite often. It's so precise it's scary for some. I enjoy looking up people I've just met, getting an idea of what type of person I'm dealing with.
