Books - Linda Goodman's Relationship Signs

Makes aspect interpretaion so easy even for a novice like me, and openly discusses why certain configurations require more work than others. The Rising Signs section was filled with rare and deep insights. I learned that just having a bunch trines and sextiles doesn't make one chart better or more fortunate than another, oppositions and squares teach us the "real" stuff about tough times in life. Her honesty and sense of humor are also major reasons why I get her books...truly a Master has passed, we will miss her so much.

I was so happy to know Linda Goodman had put out another book, especially a book on interpreting in greater depths relationships. However I do have a few dispointments about this book: 1) I understand that Linda Goodman died in October 1995. This new book was released in 1998, so how much of this book is Linda Goodman and how much is not? 2) When interpreting one's moon signs and Ascendant signs and being born in the Southern Hemisphere, are these tables accurate for us or only people born in the northen hemisphere, in countries like America? If I was born in Australia, east coast do I have to add 12 to 14 hours? 3) After creating you and your partners chart, what is the interpretation for signs that are 30 degrees and 150 degrees apart in the chart. mention has only been made of Conjunct (0 degrees), Opposite (180 degrees), Sextile (60 degrees), Trine (120 degrees).
I believe that these are very important oversights in this book that can cause many misreadings and poor intrepretations of relationships readings. Without these items mentioned above then this book is a pointless read. Fill in the missing information and this book should stand beside Linda Goodmans other classics.

When my partner told me I couldn't possibly do a relationship chart for us, I was compelled to learn how :). This book seems to do a good job of explaining the basics of developing that kind of chart (I don't know for sure because I'm no expert). I really liked the interpretations and both my partner and I got a lot of insight about our relationship.... However! Chapter 6, Aspect Symbols contains several typos. In particular it says that Virgo is Squared to Cancer and Capricorn. (Virgo is actually Squared to Sagittarius and Gemini). There are a few other typos which are easier to spot. After spending most of a Saturday trying to figure this out, it was very frustrating to find that I'd used the wrong information (particularly since both my partner and I have a lot of Virgo in our charts!). After going back and just using the definitions provided, I got it figured out. Developing a relationship chart is time-consuming as I found out last weekend, but I'm glad I spent the time. I really like the interpretations in this book and I recommend the book as long as you don't use the tables provided in Ch. 6.

Carolyn Reynolds successfully continues the Linda Goodman tradition of making astrology accessable to the common folk in this easy to read book. Up until now, a person would have to hire the services of a professional astrologer to have access to such detailed information. Now anyone can create and interpret a personalized relationship chart by following the simple instructions outlined in the book.
You'd think that you would know everything there is to know about a person after 18 years of marriage, but this remarkable book helped me gain valuable insight into my relationship with my husband.
I loved the book and enthusiastically recommend it to anyone who is interested in using astrology to better understand the unseen forces that guide our most intimate relationships.

Thought I'd seen the last of Linda Goodman's books but now we have this new one. Love Linda's conversational style of teaching us new truths...very informative. Especially liked the section on the Rising Signs. It was a joy from beginnning to end!
