I bought this book as one of my first astrology texts and loved it then, but did not realize what a wealth of information was truly in the book. Based on where the nodes are, Jan Spiller tells you what you need to move towards to fulfill your life's destiny and the tendencies that you need to leave behind that are from former lives, that which we feel comfortable with from the past. Since becoming more involved in astrology, I have found myself going back to this book several times to remind myself of what I need to learn as well as to understand others who have come into my life. It also describes the attitudes one has regarding relationships, work, etc. An invaluable source of information for both the beginner as well as the advanced.

I'm the farthest from understanding astrology. I know next to nothing about the planetary alignments, what an opposition or conjunction is, and I don't have a clue about what all of those little symbols represent.
HOWEVER, when you open this gift of a book, and look up your "North Node" based on your birth date, what you WILL discover is SO MUCH more than I can describe.
It covers in great depth all of the aspects of your life from learning lessons, to what your greatest life challenges are, what key areas you came into this life to learn, transform or overcome, and it gives you incredible accuracy that I personally found amazing!!!
Additionally, if you ever had difficulty understanding another person, the info in this book puts it all into clear, logical perspective in layman's terms. What blew my mind was how much I discovered, and how unbelievable and on target this information is!
Seriously, for $12.35 this book is worth soooo much more because of all of the in-depth info it gives that leads to uncanny understanding!
You do NOT have to be "into astrology" to glean incredible insights from this book. All of the work is done for you! I've read many different books about astrological influences, and not one has ever given me so much understanding as this one did.
Another great part of it is that BEFORE you go into business with a new business partner, or dive into a romantic relationship, this book can show you so much about the person. It is NOT about "predictions" at all! It's all about understanding!
I never made a "promise" on a review before, but I will now. I do promise you that if you really want to UNDERSTAND more about yourself or someone you know, I have yet to find a book that spells it all out with such ACCURACY and DETAIL as this book.
Definitely get it just for this alone, because you will get so much out of it! This is one book I know I will recommend to anyone who really wants to understand more of the issues and challenges a person goes through. First, read it for your own understanding of yourself. Then if there's someone you would like to understand more about, a real and true understanding is what this book will bring to you. That I do "promise."

As another reviewer wrote earlier, he/she felt compelled to write a review for the first time because of this book's impact. I had used astrology, among other things, as a tool for self-understanding for years, picking apart my birth chart, before coming across this book and being exposed to the influence of the 'nodes of the moon' for the first time. For those who might normally poo-poo astrology, any fear of "astro-jargon" and superficial description quickly fades with the startling insightfulness of this inspired work. A friend, who had no experience with astrology beyond reading about her sun sign in the newspaper, borrowed the book, studied her node's profile, referencing it again and again, until I had to ask for her to return it.
I suppose people come upon this book when they've realized their existence is beyond just this lifetime, and they are really ready to work on their 'karma,' and deal with the themes that are really 'running' them in this lifetime. This is why I started studying astrology in the first place; this is the kind of insight I was looking for when I chose to pursue a psychology degree in college, as I tried to "figure myself out." I have read many, many books over the years from a variety of fields in my quest. This is one of the few dog-eared books on my shelf, that I've returned to again and again, always being made more and more aware of myself in pondering the amazingly rich descriptions of my nodal sign and house position.

This is an excellent publication for anyone interested in such things. It is quite telling about personalities and if you would like some insight into your friends and family and thereby assisting you in being able to understand and deal with people then this book could go a way in helping you.

This is my 2nd copy of this book. When I first purchased it a few years back, I couldn't put it down!!!
I knew barely a thing about the Nodes and was amazed at the impact and influence regarding Karma.
What I read about my Node for the first time, it was like the first time I had experienced Astrology itself. Instant Awareness and Connection to the Source.
What amazed me the most was how long I had gone unaware of this aspect of the Astrology Chart and its importance.
This book is an ABSOLUTE MUST! for anyone learning about Astrology. Your study will remain incomplete without the knowledge of the Nodes and their influence in our lives.
