The Handbook of Chinese Horoscopes 6e This book arrived promptly and in excellent condition. I was very pleased with this purchase.

I own one of the first editions of this book from the early 90's and was really looking forward to this new one. It was really exciting at first to see how much bigger it was( I got the paperback) But there is hardly anything new and revised about it. There was actually a lot of things cut from it. Lists of dates were shortened, leaving big gaps of time and the list for future predictions only went ahead three years while past dates were completely illiminated, unlike the old list where you could compare up to a decade apart. Physically,it's unnecessarily large and cumbersome (hardly a handbook)and has the poor quality of newspaper with the same type of extra small print. The pages of tiny writing are framed by a huge amount of blank space. It only appears to have more content, but is just a waste of space and paper, and my eyes! This book is nothing but a big handful of paper!!! I'm returning it.

If you want something simple to use as a party-game, then this might fit the bill. If you want something more, look elsewhere.
I don't think that this is a very good book for anyone who wants to learn about or progress with Chinese astrology. It's nothing more than a superficial glimpse of a complex and beautiful philosophy that will leave a real seeker disquieted and unfulfilled.
It will not teach you anything about the mechanics of Chinese astrology, nor will you find any deep insights about anyone with it. It does not compare well to other horoscope books.
Most of the "Handbook" is filled with the same descriptions repeated over and over again with slight variation for each sign. There's much less substantive content than one might expect from 400 pages.
You might note that there is a new edition of the book released every 2 years or so. They have to do that because Ms. Lau's charts do not extend very far into the future. If you rely on it to any extent, you'll have to pick up another copy every few years. Other books offer decades of charts. This is pure shameless exploitation.

Makes poignant connections. With amazing accuracy Lau shows how people lean toward tendencies they may not be aware of, what to avoid and how to get along with those around us.
