I just purchased this product, and after I inspected it, I am fairly certain that--yes--it IS a bootleg. I've seen fan-subs of the whole sailor moon series, and they were done in a similar fashion. The boxed set seems worth it, regardless, as it is a convenient way to have the whole series (..as long as you purcahse both boxed sets!), but the sound quality is poor in some of the DVDs.
