Product Description: Rather than using up/down keys to set the time you can use the number pad to directly set the time.
Amazon.com Review: With its handsome brushed stainless steel face and sleek digital styling, this is one timekeeper that’s equally at home in kitchen or bedroom. Whether employed as a timer or as a bedside clock, it features an extra-loud alarm to rouse heavy sleepers or alert cooks in the next room, and the extra-large, big-digit display ensures that it’s easy to both see and set. Used to time baking, homework, games, or chores, it counts off 24 hours by second, minute or hour, calculates both down and up, and features an automatic recall of the last countdown. A recessed stand adds to the minimalist look. This clock is covered by a five-year limited warranty; it runs off a single AAA battery, which is included with purchase. --Mary Park

I'd send it back but I threw out the packaging when the item arrived the same morning as trash pickup. I rate this product ZERO stars. Amazon forces you to rate at least 1 star to proceed with the review but this unit doesn't deserve that. Anyway, look at the picture and you'll see that the largest button on the unit, at the bottom and in the middle, is the STOP button, which when pressed stops the timer countdown. This button is raised up higher than all of the others and it seems almost impossible ... Read More

This is both a clock and a timer. I purchased this because of the key pad allowing you to enter the minutes in numbers rather than by holding down the minute hand and counting up, which gets a little cumbersome when you want 45 minutes!
It does work for that, but the keys are pretty small and therefore a little tough to enter. Also, when the time elapses, the original time setting is lost, so you need to re-enter it each time, for example, when baking multiple sheets of cookies.

This is a very good timer. The big plus is that it is easy to set the desired cooking time using the numeric key pad. As other reviewers have noted, it has a very loud beep. This is a plus for me, because I can hear it even when in another room. The minuses: the buttons are small and setting the clock is not intuitive. I have to find the instructions to figure out how to change the clock an hour forward or backward when daylight savings time goes on or off.

This timer works great. I use it when testing children and it is so nice to have a timer with number buttons when I have to change the settings from 5 min down to 15 seconds. Some timers you can't set seconds only minutes. My only concern is that it is TOO loud. I muffled it a little with some putty in the hole, but it still disruptive.

This timer works very well. The good feature is when the timer goes off it counts up therefore you know how much time has lapsed since timer went off. Easy to set, easy to read. Wish timer beeped louder. Nice looking.
