Editorial Review:
Album Description: William Orbit may be best known as one of the world's leading producers (with credits including Madonna's multi-platinum album Ray Of Light, Blur's 13 and All Saints No. 1 single Pure Shores), but his solo work has been no less successful, with two top 5 singles and a gold-selling No. 2 album, Pieces In A Modern Style to his name. Throughout his career Orbit has continually maintained a balance between artistry and commercial appeal, with his Strange Cargo releases a perfect example of this. The Strange Cargo series represents a milestone in instrumental electronica, racking up 60k UK sales across the three albums and still managing to sound as fresh and relevant today as it did when it was released in the early 1990s - which for electronic music is no mean feat! Currently only available as part of the Strange Cargo I-III set, Strange Cargo II is now set to be released individually both physically and digitally.

This is a fantastic album, all William's solo albums are, and to say this album is 10 years old it sounds as current as anything out there today and has none of those dated DX7 sounds of a Miami vice track. When I first heard this in 1990 it was the production ... Read More
