Product Description: All kids get scared, but some fears can escalate into paranoias with long-term ramifications. This step-by-step guide tackles the why, how, and what now of anxiety disorders. Written in everyday language, it describes in detail strategies and techniques parents can combine into a comprehensive self-help program for managing a child's worry while building confidence and self-control.

Although my daughter's doctor recommended this book, I didn't end up using it very much, because I found another one that I like better: What to Do When You Worry Too Much: A Kid's Guide to Overcoming Anxiety (What to Do Guides for Kids) by Dawn Huebner. Ms. Huebner's book pretty much gives you the same tools as this book, but explains the strategies in ways that my daughter can easily grasp. I showed the book to our doctor (he hadn't seen it before) and he thought it looked great!

The general information about anxieties would be good for parents of children of any age.

After reading this, I gained more compassion for my child, and I was better equipped to handle his anxiousness.

The approach on this book brought almost inmediate results as I helped my son with certain anxieties. It was like magic! Very good tool. Thanks
