Who would've thought a current day preteen could be faced with dealing with ancient Greek mythological gods?!? And to be enthralling reading to boot! This is not at all like Harry Potter; BUT, if you enjoy HP, you'll enjoy Percy Jackson. Read More Rating: - Excellent Children's Series We are reading this out loud and the whole family is enjoying it. The weaving in of Greek Mythology stimulates lots of fun discussions. Rating: - Excellent, even for reluctant readers My 4th grade son who does not love to read absolutely loves this series. I can't get him to stop reading; he is reading instead of TV, video games, outside, etc. I read a few chapters of each of the 4 and they are well written, funny, and full of action/adventure.
