Customer Reviews Average Rating: Rating: - a great survey, fantastic introduction to an underappreciated master I'm a curator who has followed this artist's work for twenty years, and this book is a wonderful compendium of images and information about an under-rated artist who is both a brilliant craftsman and a deeply imaginative imagist who has gradually moved from Japanese traditions to Western European traditions to radical effect. The text adds insight into the mind of the artist and his complicated and original process. The reproductions of his artwork are of good quality. It is truly a collector's item.
