I have admired Deepak for years, however he should stick to what he knows and that means no more novels. Ditto on reading them himself. Yawn...
I also bought Buddha for a drive to FL and back but I probably will never listen to it now. Jesus was the most boring dribble I think I ever wasted 9 hours of my life on. You keep believing it's going to get better and have a pay-off but now, I want my money back.

When I read the Fictional book about Buddha's life that Deepak wrote it was amazing!! Deepak also had a great explanation at the end of that book that really ties the whole thing together. Do I think that Buddha is better than Jesus? No, not at all, I read this Book (listened) and I didn't get the same feeling from this book that I got from the Book that Deepak wrote about Buddha and his life. This book brings to life the teachings, compassion, generosity, and wisdom of Jesus. If you feel there's something wrong or misleading about most Christian teachings and sects, you're right, and Deepak Chopra drives the point home.
Moving, compelling, touching, inspiring story which allows you to relate to Jesus in a way his teachings show that he wanted you to.

The editorial review labels this book a "novel". Whatever label is laid on it, this book is a masterpiece by an enlightened teacher. Dr. Chopra presents Jesus Christ, fully knowing who and what that means, and puts in perspective what has been said and written about him in the past. I suggest reading this book with "How to Know God", another masterpiece by the same author. Both are gifts to humanity.
