Product Description:
Nathan Oliver, younger son of an earl, is content being a country doctor. Years ago he had worked for the Crown, but when a spy mission went awry, he left London for a simpler life. Now his world is turned upside down with the arrival of Lady Victoria Wexhall, a pampered Society miss more suited for the ballrooms of London than the quiet countryside of Cornwall.
Victoria cannot believe her father would send her to the middle of nowhere, and just when the the Season was in full swing! And with Nathan Oliver, no less! Of course, he's dashing and more interesting than the fops she's acquainted with in Town, and it would be so easy to fall in love with him. But why does he insist on searching through her luggage in the middle of the night? And why does he insist their lives are in danger?

I have such mixed emotions about this book. The hero was a great, well-developed character you can't help but fall in love with. You understand his past and his current trials and circumstances. I didn't know the heroine quite as well. I know she wished she had been born a man because they get to make all the choices and that she was a little daring, but I just didn't get a great feel for her. Also, there was entirely too much musing by the characters over the same circumstances and emotions. ... Read More

I loved this book. I loved Dr.Nathan Oliver most of all. He is such a great character. Victoria on the other hand was a pain and I felt a little spoiled. But due to Nathan, it made the book a 5 star. The tension between the two is great and the mystery had an unexpected surprise. This is a really HOT book.

Unfortunately, this one just didn't grab me at all. Although the story had the same sweet and endearing qualities like Jacquie's other books, NOT QUITE A GENTLEMAN was a very slow read for me and not quite as engaging as her other novels, which I love and enthusiastically devour!
Although the early development of Nathan's and Victoria's relationship seemed promising and worthwhile reading about, the storyline was feeble and the story uninteresting. The plot lacked backbone and the story, ... Read More

This book was fantastic from beginning to end. Pace is fast, dialogue was witty, and good humor tossed in. I loved the hero and heroine. Victoria is a titled young lady who tries to plan everything in her life. Three years ago, she received a kiss that she could not forget, but the man just left, never trying to contact her again! She wanted to get back at him by entrancing him with another kiss and then being the one to walk away...
Nathan is a spy for the Crown. He's been haunted in the last ... Read More

This is my first book by this author and I was surprised at how much I liked it. You could really tell that the hero and heroine loved each other and they didn't spend the entire book fighting. Of course there was conflict and you didn't know how they would end up together. But, they didn't play stupid games. There was a lot of passion, but they also spent time together talking and getting to know each other. I can't wait to read other books by this author.
